Regional Director- Bar Review REMOTE

This is a fully remote position with comprehensive strategic travel within assigned region at times according to the law school academic calendar. Current opportunities in northcentral region (New York ideally). Applicant should reside near a major airport. Salary for the Regional Director position is $85,000-90,000. This position is bonus eligible.

Job Summary:

Reporting to the area National Director, the Regional Director – Bar Review Program Engagement is the external face of the Company and the bar review program. The Regional Director acts in multiple roles, as a: senior level relationship manager, responsible for territory development and maintenance; program manager, helping to support school-based initiatives; and knowledge expert providing information on both the Company product and bar exam success strategies. The incumbent must deliver exceptional service to schools and students and work collaboratively with the entire bar review program engagement and strategic engagement teams to meet individual and team goals. Has deep understanding of sales, relationship development, and the bar exam. Provides updates and insights on law school bar pass efforts, competitor efforts, and related information from the industry.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Creates territory specific business plan to increase engagement (sales) and meet expected goals with the Company’s brand and products.
  • Assists with assigned field-related efforts with bar review engagement, including focus group and related feedback activities with students and schools, Company events, school visits, industry conferences and other external opportunities.
  • Creates assigned content to support academic and bar success.
  • Establishes and maintains direct contact with member schools (particularly influencers and faculty/administrators involved with bar review and academic success), students and student groups, and other related organizations within assigned region, including regularly scheduled in-person visits, phone calls, workshops, webinars, emails and other written communications.
  • Serves as company ambassador at industry conferences, tradeshows, and other assigned events.
  • Recruits, trains and supports student ambassadors.
  • Provides direct support and mentoring to student users of the bar review program.
  • Maintains contact management system (CMS) records, including updated contact information, event tracking and campaign participation.
  • Maintains knowledge of Company products and services and how they can be utilized for multiple purposes and audiences.
  • Offers analysis and recommendations for new services and products that could benefit member schools and their students and recent alumni.
  • Contributes to the development and quality control of new products, services, and communications for member schools and their students and recent alumni.
  • Maintains social media presence to promote Company, for lead development and nurturing, and other opportunities in collaboration with marketing.
  • Keeps National Director aware of any red flag issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs). To succeed in the Regional Director, Bar Review Program Engagement position, the candidate should possess the following KSAs:
  • REQUIRED
    • Strong understanding of sales and relationship development
    • Strong understanding of product development and delivery
    • Strong understanding of brand building
    • Strong understanding of the bar exam process, elements and strategies for success
    • Ability to initiate, champion and successfully implement new products
    • Ability to stay abreast and comprehend higher education policies and issues, with particular emphasis on law school and professional school environments
    • Ability to thrive in an environment that anticipates change and promotes and leverages innovation
    • Superior attention to detail and superior organizational and time-management skills
    • Superior writing, verbal communication, presentation and critical thinking skills
    • Collaborative mindset; ability to give and receive feedback to improve products and services
    • Computer proficiency, including experience with Web-based applications, CRM (especially Salesforce), and online collaboration tools
    • Experience conducting in-person, phone and online client meetings and presentations
    • Passion and enthusiasm for legal education and student success
    • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills
    • Willingness to travel within assigned territory
    • Ability to work productively from your home office, on a campus or on the go!
  • PREFERRED
    • Knowledge of bar review programs and school-related bar success efforts
    • Knowledge of student engagement and programming best practices
    • Experience in the legal education sector
    • Knowledge of event planning and coordination and conference vending
  • BACKGROUND EXPERIENCE
    • J.D. required; Licensed to practice law in at least one jurisdiction required
    • 2+ years of experience in education, relationship-building and/or sales-related occupation; legal education setting preferred

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time, exempt position located in a remote office. The incumbent is expected to be present and accessible for at least 40 hours per week, subject to approved leave time, travel and other absences as described in the Employee Handbook or as otherwise agreed by the Company. Early morning, evening and weekend hours should be expected.
