Job Summary:

The Assistant Director, Sponsorship and Partnership Operations leads the day-to-day coordination, execution, and management of strategic sponsorships and partnerships across AccessLex Institute and Helix Bar Review. This role serves as the primary operational liaison between internal stakeholders and external partners, ensuring commitments are fulfilled, relationships are strengthened, and organizational investments deliver value.

Reporting to the Managing Director, Organizational Engagement, the Assistant Director works cross-functionally to support partnership success, manage sponsorship benefits, coordinate events and communications, maintain key records, and provide reporting and insights to leadership.

This is a fully remote position. Salary is $85,000-$95,000 annually. Please provide a cover letter along with your resume.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Partnership and Sponsorship Management

  • Manage the implementation, execution, and ongoing administration of sponsorship and partnership agreements and initiatives.

  • Serve as the primary operational contact for partners, sponsors, vendors, and external organizations.

  • Coordinate activities across internal stakeholders, departments, and external partners to ensure commitments, deliverables, and objectives are achieved on time and with excellence.

  • Track partnership deliverables, milestones, renewals, and organizational obligations, proactively resolving operational issues to support successful execution.

  • Facilitate communication, partner outreach, meetings, presentations, and related materials to strengthen engagement and collaboration.

  • Maintain strong partner and sponsor relationships, identify opportunities to enhance value and engagement, and support long-term partnership success.

  • Manage multiple partnership initiatives simultaneously while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Event and Engagement Coordination

  • Support organizational participation in industry conferences, meetings, and sponsored events.

  • Coordinate logistics, registrations, travel, materials, and partner engagement activities.

  • Serve as a liaison with event organizers and external stakeholders.

  • Support onsite event execution as needed.

Reporting and Administration

  • Maintain partnership records, CRM data, contracts, invoices, and tracking systems.

  • Monitor budgets, expenses, sponsorship benefits, and key performance indicators.

  • Prepare reports and provide leadership with insights related to partnership effectiveness, renewals, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Support process enhancements that improve operational efficiency and stakeholder experience.

  • Keep Managing Director informed of progress, key risks, and operational needs across the function.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs). To succeed in the Assistant Director – Sponsorship and Partnership Operations position, candidates should possess the following KSAs:

REQUIRED

  • Strong project management, organizational, and time-management skills;

  • Experience managing sponsorships, partnerships, membership programs, or stakeholder engagement initiatives;

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills;

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain productive relationships with sponsors, partners, and internal stakeholders;

  • Experience managing multiple priorities, projects, and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment;

  • Experience tracking contracts, deliverables, budgets, renewals, and performance metrics;

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends and support decision-making through reporting and insights;

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CRM/reporting systems;

  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure successful execution of partnership objectives.

PREFERRED

  • Experience with Salesforce;

  • Experience coordinating conference sponsorships, industry events, or strategic partnership programs;

  • Familiarity with contract administration, invoice processing, budget tracking, and performance measurement;

  • Demonstrated success improving operational processes and collaborating across departments

Background Experiences

The following are required unless otherwise noted:

  • BS/BA in Business, Communications, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, Project Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience;

  • 6+ years of progressive experience in partnerships, sponsorships, external relations, organizational engagement, project management, event management, or a related field (full-time);

  • Experience working within nonprofit, higher education, association, professional services, mission-driven, or similarly complex organizations preferred.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time, exempt remote position; the incumbent is expected to be present and accessible for at least 40 hours per week, subject to approved leave time, travel and other absences as described in the Employee Handbook or as otherwise agreed by the Company. The Company’s standard hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:15 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
